Morning and afternoon – Rain and showers across large parts of the Western isles drier and brighter for Lewis. Plenty of cloud with some sunny spells. Some wintry showers at times. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Evening – Showers across large parts of the Western Isles. These will be heavy and wintry at times. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Risk of frost and ice again. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Winds will be from the North and West. Temps of 0C to 6C

Sunday – Rounds of heavy and persistent rain will move across the islands. Winds will gusting 50 to 60 mph reaching 70 mph in the evening for Uist and Barra. Temps of 2C to 9C

Monday – A windy start with winds gusting 50 to 60 mph again 70 mph for Uist and Barra with winds easing later. Showers and longer spells of rain into the evening. Winds will be from the North and North West. Temps of 5C to 8C

Tuesday – Windy again with further rounds of heavy rain. Winds gusting 50 to 60 mph from the West and South West. Temps of 3C to 9C
