Good morning Western Isles this is your morning briefing,

On this Friday morning we are seeing rain and showers moving across parts of the Western Isles. Plenty of cloud with some clear skies. Some frost and ice. Winds under 20 mph and overnight low of -0.2C

Today – We are going to see rain and showers moving across the Western Isles throughout the day with some longer spells of rain. Sleet and snow at times. Greatest risk into the evening. Some frost and ice again into the evening. Winds of 10 to 30 mph gusting 40 mph into the evening. Winds will be from variable directions and temps of -1C to 6C

Saturday – Sleet and snow showers moving across the island. Some longer spells of rain at times with sunshine Winds under 30 mph with risk of frost and ice. Heavier rain moves in later in the day.

Sunday – Spells of rain and showers heavy at times winds will increase again gusting 50 to 60 mph. 70 mph is possible later in the day for Uist and Barra.

Monday – Windy start with winds gusting 60 to 70 mph. Further rounds of heavy rain. Winds will ease later with some sunny spells. Scattered showers.
