Friday’s forecast – Fleeting improvement

Good evening Western Isles on this Thursday evening we are seeing rain, sleet and snow showers moving across the Western isles. Clear skies and cloud. Some frost and ice. Winds gusting 50 to 60 mph and today’s high of 7.6C

I am still doing shorter and limited updates at the moment but hope to back to normal over the weekend

Friday – Overnight clear skies and cloud. Rain and wintry showers heavy at times. Winds gusting 50 to 60 mph. Frost and ice in places. Morning winds easing under 20 mph sunshine and scattered showers. Drier and brighter for the afternoon for many but rain moves in again from the West rain spreads into all parts into the evening. Becoming milder. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph. Winds will be from the North West shifting South and South West into the day. Temps of 1C to 9C

Saturday – A cloud dominating day with rain and showers at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to 60 mph widely from the South and South West. Temps of 5C to 9C

Sunday – Overnight heavy rain with winds gusting 50 to 60 mph. Winds easing again under 20 mph with those winds increasing again later with further spells of rain into the evening. Winds will be from variable directions. Temps of 3C to 9C

Monday – A day of sunshine and cloud with scattered showers these heavy at times. Brisk winds. Winds of 20 to 40 mph from the South West. Temps of 4C to 9C
