Good evening Western Isles on this Wednesday evening rain is moving across the Western Isles. This is heavy and slow moving in places. Winds gusting 40 to 50 mph for Uist and Barra gusting 20 to 30 mph for Lewis and Harris. Today’s high of 9.3C

Overnight – Further spells of rain heavy at times. Some drizzle. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph for Uist and Barra.

Morning and afternoon – Largely overcast. Spells of rain and drizzle. Occasionally heavy. Some sunny spells. Winds of 20 to 40 mph easing further.

Evening – A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Spells of rain and drizzle but for most it should be dry. Winds under 20 mph.

Winds will be from the South East shifting North West into the morning. Temps of 3C to 9C
