Morning – Sunshine and cloud. Scattered showers. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to 60 mph for Uist and Barra.

Afternoon and evening – Overcast with bands of rain sweeping across the Western Isles this will be heavy and persistent at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Winds gusting 50 to 60 mph at times reaching 70 mph for Uist and Barra.

Winds will be from the South and South East. Temps of 4C to 9C

Friday – Further rounds of rain heavy at times. Winds gusting 40 to 50 mph strongest again for Uist and Barra. Winds will be from the South East. Temps of 4C to 8C

Saturday – Sunshine and cloud with brisk winds. Winds will be from the South around 20 to 40 mph. Temps of 3C to 8C
