Good morning Western Isles this is your morning briefing,

On this Tuesday morning we are seeing an overcast but dry start to the day with blustery winds. Some sunny spells. Strongest for Uist and Barra gusting 40 to 50 mph here. Overnight low of 2.9C

Today – A day of sunshine and cloud. Rain moves in later in the day becoming heavy at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to 60 mph. Reaching 70 mph for Uist and Barra. Winds will be from the South and South East. Temps of 4C to 9C

Wednesday – Heavy rain with strong winds with a brief spell of severe gales first thing gusting 60 to 70 mph. Winds easing later with sunshine and cloud.

Thursday – Rain and showers with winds gusting 40 to 50 mph.

Friday – Further spells of rain with winds gusting 40 to 50 mph. Rain clears later in the day.
