Thursday’s forecast – Windy again

Good evening Western Isles on this Wednesday evening we are seeing a mainly fine and dry end to the day. Clear skies and cloud. Some frost and ice. Winds under 20 mph and today’s high of 8.5C

Overnight – Mostly fine and dry with some frost and ice. Cloud increases as the night goes on. Rain will move in as we go into the morning. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph.

Morning and afternoon – Heavy morning rain. This will turn showery as the day progresses and at times some of these showers will be wintry. in between some decent sunny spells. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 / 55 mph.

Evening – Wintry and squally showers and these again will be heavy. Some clear skies. Risk of frost and ice. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 2C to 9C

Sunday and Monday – Sunshine and cloud. winds ease on Sunday but increase again on Monday. Should be dry. Winds will be from the South and South East. Temps of 6C to 9C
