Friday’s forecast – Winds abating

Good evening Western Isles on this Thursday evening we are seeing squally showers moving across the islands. Heavy with hail mixed in. Winds gusting 50 mph. Today’s high of 12C

Overnight – Clear skies and cloud. Further squally showers. Hail and possibly thundery at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph.

Morning – Sunshine and cloud with further squally showers heavy at times but becoming more scattered. Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine in between. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Afternoon and evening – Sunshine and cloud with some scattered showers again heavy at times but becoming less frequent as the evening goes on. Winds of 10 to 30 mph with some afternoon gusts reaching 40 mph.

Winds will be from the West and North West. Temps of 6C to 14C
