Week ahead outlook 19th June

Good afternoon all. We are going to discuss the upcoming weather for the week ahead across the Western Isles. Covering any notable weather and general trends. Our normal week ahead forecast will be online this evening.

  • This week will see high pressure dominating across the UK but it will be a slack area of high pressure with shallow areas of low pressure. This will stop things from becoming too settled across the islands.
  • Monday will see a cold front move across the Western Isles. We will bring spells of rain heavy at times with plenty of cloud.
  • Into the middle of the week it will be breezy and fairly overcast with spells of rain and drizzle. Some sunshine at times.
  • Towards the end of the week shallow areas of low pressure will bring spells of rain and drizzle. Again plenty of cloud. Depending on the exact placement of the low pressure systems will determine how much rain we will see.
  • Next weekend is a long way off as yet but seems to be a good agreement that low pressure will dominate the weather bringing rounds of rain heavy at times. Not expecting strong winds with this.
  • Still no signs of us hitting 20C yet this year. Also, no real signs in the long range of us having a longer more prolonged settled spell as we head toward July.

Have a great week.
