Hello and welcome to our 4th weather forecast for this year’s Hebridean Celtic Festival. Today we see the first night of the arena music. I hope everyone going tonight has a great time.
Thursday
We are currently seeing plenty of cloud around with some sunshine across Stornoway. Some scattered showers moving across Lewis. The rest of this afternoon and evening will see further rain and showers which at times could be heavy. Plenty of cloud but despite this, we should still see plenty in the way of sunshine. Winds of 10 to 25 mph from the West and South West. Temps of 10C to 16C
Friday
Looks set to be the best day of the festival with a day of sunshine and cloud with mostly light winds. The odd scattered shower cannot be ruled out. The best of the sunshine is expected during the afternoon. Winds will be from the West and North West under 20 mph. Temps of 11C to 17C
Saturday
We are expecting a more overcast day for Stornoway. Some sunny spells. Spells of rain and drizzle. Some showers that could be heavy at times. There will also be a noticeable increase in winds gusting 30 to 35 mph. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 11C to 19C
Have a great evening. The next update will be out on Friday afternoon. The featured photograph comes from Carol Macdonald
