Good evening Western Isles on this Saturday evening we are seeing spells of rain heavy at times. Plenty of cloud with some sunny spells. Winds gusting 30 mph. Today’s high of 15C
It has been a consistently breezy day with winds gusting to 40 mph for most since mid morning.
Overnight – We are going to see spells of rain moving across the Western Isles this will be heavy at times. The heaviest of the rain will be for Uist and Barra. Spells of drizzle elsewhere. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.
Morning – Some lingering spells of rain and drizzle but clearing away to plenty of cloud with some sunny spells. Winds of 10 to 30 mph. But easing under 20 mph by the end of the morning.
Afternoon and evening – Cloudy with some sunny spells. Hazy sunshine. Some light rain and drizzle. Winds under 20 mph.
Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 12C to 18C

Monday – We will see the warmest of the air moving across the Western Isles in the next 3 days. As shown in the chart below. Please note this chart is from the 850hpa in the atmosphere and not low level but gives you an idea of the air moving across the UK
So the actual forecast for Monday will see a mixture of sunshine and cloud with light winds. Feeling warm and humid we could see temps as high as 20/21C in some parts of the Western isles again this is highlighted on the chart below
Tuesday – Looks like being an overcast day with spells of rain and showers heavy at times. Winds under 20 mph from the West and South West. Temps of 12C to 19C
As mentioned last night and the trend is still there but some models but not all the computer models are hinting at some heavy spells of rain during the course of Tuesday. Just keeping an eye on it at this stage.
Wednesday and Thursday – Sunshine and cloud with light winds and feeling cooler. Winds will be from the West and North West under 20 mph. Temps of 11C to 14C
