Good evening Western Isles on this Thursday evening we are seeing plenty of cloud with patchy rain and drizzle. Winds under 20 mph and today’s high of 14.3C at both South Uist and Stornoway Met Office sites.
The Met Office earlier today tweeted about the unsettled weekend we are going to see across Scotland
But first Friday looks set to be another fairly settled day.
Overnight – A cloud dominating night with spells of drizzle but for most staying dry. Some clear skies. Winds under 10 mph
Morning and afternoon – Largley overcast with some sunny spells. Hazy sunshine at times. Some patchy rain and drizzle but mainly dry. Winds under 10 mph.
Evening – Overcast with plenty of cloud some sunny spells. Occasional rain and drizzle with winds under 20 mph.
Winds will be from variable directions and temps of 11C to 17C

Saturday – Will be a wet day across the islands. After a dry start rounds of rain will move across the islands into the evening. Winds of 20 to 40 mph from the South East. Temps of 13C to 17C
The GFS is suggesting up to 20 mm of rain could fall in part of the Western isles between now and Sunday night
Sunday – Further spells of rain heavy at times with winds gusting 40 mph but the winds easing as the day goes on. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 12C to 17C
Monday and Tuesday – Sunshine and cloud with scattered showers. Winds of 10 to 30 mph from the North and North West. Temps of 10C to 15C
