Thursday and Friday forecast for Western Isles.

Good afternoon Western Isles I will be off rock for a few days so just a slight break in forecast updates from me. It will return to normal Friday evening with an in depth forecast for Saturday.


Plenty of cloud with some decent and prolonged sunshine where the cloud breaks but it will prove stubborn to clear in some spots. It should be largely dry but some patchy light rain and drizzle is possible at times. Winds under 20 mph from the South and South East. Temps of 12C to 17C


Weather fronts will move across the islands on Friday bringing rain to all parts

After a dry start rain will spread into all parts and be heavy during the evening and overnight with winds gusting 40 mph. Some morning sunshine. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 12C to 17C

We are not expecting significant rainfall but 10 mm could fall in places between now and the end of the day on Friday
