Good evening Western Isles on this Thursday evening we are seeing rain and showers moving across the islands. These are heavy in places. Some sunny spells with plenty of cloud. Winds gusting 30 mph and today’s high of 15.7C
We have seen a wet day for South Uist with 10 mm of rain being recorded at the Met Office site.

Friday
Overnight – Clear skies and cloud with some showers heavy at times. Temps dropping down into single figures in spots. Winds under 20 mph.
Morning and afternoon – Some decent and prolonged sunshine with variable amounts of cloud. A few showers heavy at times. Becoming more scattered later in the day. Winds under 20 mph.
Evening – Becoming drier with a few scattered showers. Some decent and prolonged sunshine at times,
