Good evening Western Isles on this Sunday evening we are seeing an overcast evening with spells of drizzle along with mist and low cloud. Winds are under 20 mph and today’s high of 16.6C so far.
A cold front will sweep across the Western Isles on Monday bringing more rain. This cold front is highlighted on the Met Office surface pressure chart below
Overnight – A cloud dominating night with some clear spells. Rain and drizzle will move in from the West as the night goes and becoming heavy at times. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.
Morning and afternoon – Staying overcast with occasional sunny spells. Rain will become heavy and slow moving at times. Further rain and drizzle. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.
Evening – Overcast with spells of rain and drizzle. Mist and low cloud with fog patches. Winds of 10 to 30 mph
Winds will be from the South West and temps of 12C to 17C

Tuesday and Wednesday – Two very similar days with winds being the main feature. Winds of 20 to 40 mph widely with a risk of some gusts reaching 50 mph. Sunshine and cloud. We are likely to see warm temperatures.
Here is the GFS chart for Wednesday showing the 20C note because we are on small islands the models sometimes struggle with the resolution of the high temps so 15C for Uist and Barra is likely to be on the lower side.
The temps for later in the week have back off somewhat on recent runs we were looking at 20/22C for Thursday and Friday next week and things will change between now and then and at this stage things are looking under 20C
Thursday – Overcast with spells of rain and drizzle but lighter winds under 20 mph. Temps of 12C to 16C
Friday – A fine and dry day with sunshine and cloud. Winds under 20 mph. Temps of 12C to 17C
Next weekend – Fine and dry with light winds along with sunshine and cloud.
