Sundays forecast – Staying fairly cloudy

Good evening Western Isles on this Saturday evening we are seeing plenty of cloud with some rain and drizzle. Winds under 20 mph and todays high of 13.3C

Saturday was another dull and damp day in the islands. Plenty of cloud with some sunny spells. Barra was the driest and some parts of South Uist recorded 4 mm of rain. Its been feeling chilly as well.

For Sunday high pressure still holds on and couple of weakening weather fronts move across the UK. But a change is on the way.

Overnight – Plenty of cloud with spells of rain and drizzle. The rain will be heavy at times across Uist and Barra. Some clear skies. Winds under 20 mph.

Morning and afternoon – Overcast with some sunny spells at times. Some scattered showers with rain and drizzle for South Uist and Barra which will be slow to clear. Winds under 15 mph.

Evening – Plenty of cloud with some scattered showers. Plenty of cloud. Winds under 10 mph.

Winds will be from the North West shifting South East to end the day. Temps of 11C to 15C

Outlook

Monday – Changes for the start of the week. Turning milder. Plenty of cloud with some rain at times. Sunny spells. Winds of 10 to 25 mph from the South West. Temps of 11C to 17C

Tuesday and Wednesday – Overcast with rain and at times becoming heavy. Winds of 20 to 40 mph from the South West. Some heavy and persistent rain will move in during late Wednesday. Winds will be from the South West. Temps of 12C to 17C

Thursday – A wet night will clear to sunshine and showers. Some decent and prolonged sunshine a times. Winds will be from the South West. Temps of 10C to 16C
