Wednesday morning brief

Good morning Western Isles this is your morning briefing, On this Tuesday morning we are seeing plenty of cloud with some rain and drizzle. Winds gusting 40 to 50 mph and overnight low of 11.7C

Today – Frequent rain and showers these will be thundery at times. Plenty of cloud with some sunny spells in the breaks in the cloud. The rain easing later in the day. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to 60 mph with some gusts reaching 70 mph for Uist and Barra. Winds will be from the South East shifting during the day to South and South West. Temps of 10C to 14C

Thursday – Overnight rain and winds gusting 50 mph then into the day time sunshine and scattered showers with winds of 20 to 40 mph. Temps of 10C to 14C

Friday – Rain and showers with winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Saturday – Sunshine and cloud. Mainly dry with lighter winds.

Sunday – Another day of rain and showers with winds of 20 to 40 mph.
