Hello and welcome to Western Isles Weather. I have been running Western Isles weather since 2012 in my spare time.
Twice daily weather forecasts for the Western Isles of Scotland. Blog posts on the weather across the islands, the UK and internationally.
We share Met Office warnings and SEPA flood alerts.
Please DO NOT use Western Isles Weather for the protection of life and property, please follow any local and national government issued warnings and advice.
Please have more then one source for weather information in extreme weather, such as the Met office and follow any advice give by emergency services.
Any views on this blog are my own and are not representative of any company or organisation.
Thanks Richard Cooke
Hello. I am cycling the Hebridean Way 7-12 Sept. Wondering what weather to expect? Do you keep historical records? Many thanks. Bill Evans. Shropshire.

Hello. None myself. But the met office website does have them. September can be a funny month. It sometimes can be one of our wettest months of the year. We don’t often get storms. We can get some decent periods of sunshine.
